Banjara Bags
Hand-embroidered in the Banjara tradition — dense thread work, small mirrors, tassels, coins and trim, all worked by hand. Because they are made by hand, no two are the same, and the bag photographed is the bag sent. They sit as easily against denim and linen as against traditional dress, which is why they tend not to last long here.
Variation
Differences in stitch, mirror placement and depth of colour are not faults. They are the evidence of a hand rather than a machine. Every photograph on this page is of the actual bag.
Keeping
Spot clean only. Never soaked, never machine washed. Stored lightly filled so the shape holds.
