Dupattas & Stoles
The layer that finishes the outfit. A dupatta turns a plain kurta into something considered, quietens a heavily worked lehenga, and gives colour somewhere to live when the rest is deliberately still. Ours are chosen to work across several outfits rather than one.
Draping
At its simplest: one end pinned at the shoulder, the length falling behind. Pleated at the shoulder before pinning for more volume. Open across both forearms for the loosest reading — best in lighter cloth.
Keeping
Dry clean, or cold hand wash, according to the fabric noted on the page. Worked cloth is never wrung. Folded, not hung, so the weight does not pull the drape out of shape.
